Brian McDermott has the experience needed to represent you at any stage of the criminal process.

Throughout his legal career Attorney McDermott has tried over a dozen jury trials. The cases have ranged from driving under the influence and drug charges to possession of firearms and aggravated assault. In addition, our office has handled countless non-jury trials, also known as bench trials, where the Judge acts as jury. You need someone defending you who knows how, and is willing, to handle jury trials.

As a product of Pittsburgh, Attorney McDermott is proud to have attended Pittsburgh Public Schools from elementary school through graduation from Taylor Allderdice High School. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. While in law school he had the opportunity to be a legal intern for the President Judge of Allegheny County.

His commitment to this city and its citizens can be seen not only in his public service, but his volunteer work with The Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania, The United Way’s Be A Middle School Mentor program, The East-End Co-op Ministry and with various local food bank programs.
